Last night, Greg and I attended the wedding of our niece Brin to her love, Keith. It was such a gorgeous night.
The setting was beautiful, up on a mountain in a cozy little area with greenery and a nice rustic feel. As you walked up the stone stairwell to the reception grounds, you were greeted, your photo was taken with a Polaroid and pinned it up here, in exchange for your table number.
I loved this idea!
On that same table, there was a grouping of blank hearts for the guests to write their names. I think these will be used as wedding keep-sakes later.
The tables were beautifully set with little rustic yet elegant touches, like these burlap and lace-wrapped candles.
It was so nice to catch up with family and old friends as we all waited for the ceremony to begin.
I was thrilled to see that Grandpa Bill had made it for the wedding!
Then, the time came. Brin's little brother sang as he played is guitar while the bridal party walked down the isle.
Brin chose to be escorted by her brother, David, since she was blessed enough to grow up with two wonderful fathers and didn't want to choose. It was so special.
After the ceremony, we ate dinner and communed with the other guests.
Then came the bride and groom's first dance.
After that. . . the Daddy-Daughter dances.
Oh my goodness! I cried like a baby!
Brin and her Daddy danced to "I loved her first". . .
. . . while she and Tim danced to "Cinderella", by Steven Curtis
Chapman.
Then I walked around for a while and took pictures of some of the beautiful things I saw around me. . .
like the gorgeous bride . . .
Last but not least, it was time to cut the cake. Brin said it was the most beautiful cake ever- that means so much to me!
They were very nice to each other (by the way) and refrained from shoving cake in each other's faces.
It was such a lovely wedding and I am so thankful to have been a part of it. Brin and Keith, we wish you all of the joy in the world with your new adventure in life and love. Congratulations.
