Yesterday at our Girl Scout meeting, Troop 749 learned about global warming and how each of us leaves a "carbon footprint" from the amount of unrenewable energy sources that we use up. They learned about different ways to live a little "greener" to reduce their carbon footprints, and they each made a pledge to do at least one thing over the next 2 weeks toward that end.
For our craft, the girls each made a green footprint of their own feet to hang on their refrigerators. This little piece of personalized art is a simple reminder to them to hold to their promise to take those steps to be greener and reduce their carbon footprints. Let's hope it works!
